OBITUARY: (MIDDLEBORO) Edward Arthur Craig, 86, longtime resident of Middleboro, died on Sunday, March 15, 2015, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Joanne Marion (Richmond) Craig, who predeceased him in June of 2011; they had been married for 60 years. Born in Waterbury, CT, April 19, 1928; he was the son of the late Arthur P. and Gladys (Demmings) Craig. Ed served in the United States Army during WWII in the infantry division, serving with the Military Police. He was a meat cutter by trade and worked in many of the surrounding area supermarkets. He was a former member of the May Flower Lodge A.F. & A.M. in Middleboro, the Polish Club in Bridgewater, and the Mitchell Memorial Club in Middleboro. Edward will always be remembered as a devoted family man and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include three sons, Glenn and his wife Theresa Craig, James and his wife Debra Craig, all of Middleboro, Stephen and his wife Patti Healy of Wareham; three daughters, Cheri and her husband Bill Adair, Pam and her husband Gary Paduch, and Karen Krueck, all of Middleboro; a sister, Ruth Moore of TN; 11 grandchildren, Amanda, Jared, Ashley, Lindsey, Lacey, Mallory, Jason, Tara, Joe, Nikki, Jamie; 9 great-grandchildren, Riley, Gabrielle, Julia, Max, Gavin, Jolie, Cooper, Declan, and Adam. He was brother of the late Ronald Craig, Helen Caswell, and Doris Allison. Visiting hours will be held in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Middleboro, on Tuesday, March 17th from 4-8 pm. Funeral service will be held at the North Congregational Church, 38 Plymouth St. Middleboro, at 10 am on Wednesday, March 18th. Burial will take place at Titicut Parish Cemetery at a later date.
