Douglas Bower Obituary

OBITUARY: (MIDDLEBORO) Douglas L. Bower, 75, of Middleboro, died on Sunday, November 26, 2017, at Lifecare Center of Raynham. He was born in Middleboro, son of the late Ernest R. and Gertrude E. (Rich) Bower. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He was President of the Royal Café Inc. for 21 years, and formerly worked for Crown Services as a manager. He was a member of the Lebanon New Hampshire Elks and a life member of the Mitchell Memorial Club, Middleboro. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time in NH snowmobiling with family and friends. He was known for his story-telling. Survivors include his former wife, Theresa A. (Stuart) Bower, two sons, Ronald Caramanica of Lakeville, Douglas L. Bower Jr. of East Freetown; a daughter, Tracy Greene of Lakeville; 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren. He was brother of the late Ernest and Robert Bower. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, November 29th from 4-7 pm in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Middleboro. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 30th in the funeral home at 10 am. Burial will follow at Nemasket Hill Cemetery, Middleboro.
