Dorothy Dewhurst

OBITUARY: (MIDDLEBORO) Dorothy E. (Macomber) Dewhurst, the wife of the late Edward E. Dewhurst, who predeceased her in 2002. Born in Beverly, MA, she was a resident of Lakeville since 1950. She was the daughter of Arthur and Margaret (Worthington) Macomber. She was a graduate of Taunton High School, class of 1934. Mrs. Dewhurst retired from Taunton State Hospital as a Nurse's Aid, and Lakeville State Hospital, in 1975. She was a longtime member of the Church of Our Saviour Episcopal Church, Middleboro. Survivors include a son, Milton R. Dewhurst of Lakeville, a daughter, Dianne Dewhurst Grinnell of Hearth, MA, a nephew, Richard Sheridan of FL, a daughter-in-law, Diane Jesse Dewhurst. She was sister of the late Alice Macomber Sheridan. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 12th from 5-7 pm in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Middleboro.
