Donald Louis Grigoreas, age 77, of Raynham, died on Friday, January 19, 2024, at the Wedgemere Healthcare Center in Taunton.
Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late Louis & Vivian (Westgate) Grigoreas. Donald was a graduate of Taunton High School, Class of 1964. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, proudly served his country during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1968. Donald's working career was in the automotive parts industry; he was employed at Western Auto formerly in Taunton, then at Alden Auto Parts located in Taunton and Somerset and later at Norwood Motor Parts as a warehouse manager in Brockton.
He was an avid football fan; watching football at any chance and rooting for his home team, the New England Patriots. Donald enjoyed watching movies, including Indiana Jones and other action-adventure movies, especially any films involving Steven Spielberg. He loved his vacations to Disney World and Universal Studios in Florida, as well as San Francisco and the Grand Canyon. He also kept busy doing photography and researching American history. When time allowed on weekends, Donald with his wife Janet, would take long walks in the Borderland State Park in North Easton.
Donald was the beloved husband of Janet (Rounds) Grigoreas for 54 years; loving father of Scott Grigoreas & his wife Heather of Taunton and Dawn Keane & her husband Matthew of Somerset; devoted Grampie of Dexter, Violet and Miriam; dear brother of Steven Grigoreas of Connecticut.
There will be NO visiting hours.
Family and friends are welcome to his Graveside Services with Military Honors at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, 1 Connery Avenue, Bourne, on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 11:30 AM.
