Dennis Patrick Samson, age 80, of Berkeley Springs, WV, formerly of Middleborough, died on Friday, August 9, 2024 at Hospice of The Panhandle in Kearneysville, WV.
Born on February 6, 1944 in Acushnet, he was the son of the late Joseph Antonio Louis Samson and June Rose (White) Samson.
Dennis was a graduate of New Bedford High School, New Bedford and attended NYCC where he studied basic psychology. Dennis was Co-Owner of The Captain’s Galley Restaurant from 1971 to 1973. He was also the Owner and Director of the Acorn Hill Home Care Center in Middleborough for 42 years and retired in 2020. Dennis was blessed with a career he truly loved, where he cared for veterans who helped to keep our freedom. He was a member of King Hiram’s Lodge A.F. & A.M. in Provincetown.
Dennis is survived by his spouse of 16 years, R. Reagan Robertson, Jr.; two sisters, Diane O’Leary (Stella) of Leominster, MA and Paulette Rua (Dennis) of Redondo Beach, CA; one nephew, Jeffrey Rua (Ofelia); two nieces, June Plaud (David) and Margaret Gallagher (Jim); five grandnephews, one grandniece; three great-grandnieces and one great-grandnephew.
Dennis lived life to the fullest and was grateful for the love of his family and circle of friends that supported him. Reagan and Dennis were their loves of a lifetime.
Family and Friends are invited to the Graveside Services at the Nemasket Hill Cemetery, 515 Plymouth Street, Middleborough, on Monday, August 19, 2024, at 1:00 PM.
