David Paul Fountain

David P. Fountain, 75, of Florida, formerly of Middleborough and Brockton, passed away after a brief illness, on Thursday, January 4, 2024. 

David, known by Dave to family and friends, was born on July 4, 1948. He worked with the Middleborough Post Office as a letter carrier for over 20 years. Prior to that, Dave worked in auto body repair and mechanics. Dave was also a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving as a Private. 

Dave loved boating, camping, and fishing. He enjoyed working on cars and restored several classic Ford Mustangs to enjoy with his family. After retiring, Dave moved to Florida where he enjoyed the warm weather. 

Dave was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Olga (Onulak) Fountain, and two brothers, Paul and Dennis. He is survived by his children, Amanda Fountain of Stoughton, Dennis Fountain and his wife Hillary of Joelton, TN, and former spouse Linda Fountain of Middleborough. 

Family and friends are welcome to attend his visiting hours at the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak Street, Middleborough, on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, with a memorial service starting at 11:30 AM. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
