David E. Darrah, 74, of Middleborough, passed away at his home on Thursday, December 17, 2020, after a long illness.
Dave was born in Attleboro to the late Charles and Virginia (Ballou) Darrah on September 25, 1946. He was raised in Mansfield and graduated from Mansfield High School in 1964. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Army and receiving a Purple Heart. He went on to earn a bachelor's degree in history from Bridgewater State University. He was an avid history reader and enjoyed traveling and spending time at the beach, and was blessed with a close group of incredibly supportive friends.
Dave is survived by his son Ryan Darrah of North Andover and daughter Melissa Henry of South Hadley; grandchildren Jack, Sydney, Emma and Aidyn; sisters Diane Lamoureux of North Attleboro and Susan Butler of Mansfield and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Karen Darrah of Mashpee.
All are invited to attend the Graveside Services at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, 1 Connery Avenue, Bourne, on Monday June 21, 2021, at 10:00 AM.
