Claire A. Rockwood, 95, of Harvard, MA, passed away at home on Friday, October 15, 2021, after an illness, with her loving family by her side.
Claire was born in Plymouth, MA, the daughter of the late Irene M. Lee and the late Joseph R. Cadorette. She grew up in the Middleborough-Carver area, then finished high school in New Mexico before attending business school. Claire was the Middleborough news correspondent for the Brockton Enterprise for over 40 years. She was a devoted mother who greatly enjoyed traveling – especially cruising. She was an excellent seamstress, very artistic, and loved gardening. She enjoyed corresponding with many friends. She was a member of the Rotary Club, Cabot Club, and the Church of Our Savior.
Claire was predeceased by her husband, Richard, in 1974. She is survived by her loving children: Marcia Rockwood of San Diego, CA; Jan Rockwood (husband Bruce Papazian) with whom she lived in Harvard, MA; Kerry Castillo (husband William) of Fayetteville, NC; Lisel Rockwood of Friendswood, TX; and Richard Rockwood (wife Cheryl) of Rumford, ME. Claire is also survived by her brother, James Cadorette (wife Joanne) of Bridgewater, MA, as well as 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Her brother, George Allen Williams, predeceased her.
