Charles "Charlie" L. Davis

Charles "Charlie" Lawrence Davis, age 86, of Middleborough, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones, on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at his home.

Born and raised in Roxbury, he was the son of the late Francis & Margaret (Barrett) Davis.  Charlie attended Christopher Columbus High School and graduated Class of 1956.  He met and married Joan Kennedy in 1956, and together they started their family.  Charlie worked for Polaroid Electronics for many years and retired in 1995, at the age of 58.  Charlie and Joan retired to Oak Point in Middleborough, enjoying the community and many friends.  He was a helpful, caring and great man; an all-around community "guy", always available to help anyone in need.  Charlie was a GREAT Dad, Papa and Santa Claus.  Charlie loved people and people loved him!

Charles was the beloved husband for 67 years to Joan F. (Kennedy) Davis; loving father of Bernadette Breheny & her husband William of Plymouth, Susan Conroy of Arlington, Donna Marie Sullivan & her husband Stephen of Braintree, Lisa Visser of Medfield, JoAnn Hayward of New York, Michelle Dixon & her husband Timothy of Stoughton, Mary Leal of Stoughton, Charles Davis II & his wife Andrea of Middleborough, Brian Davis of Newburyport, and John Davis & his wife Karyn of Blackstone; cherished Papa of 30 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

There will be NO visiting hours.

Family and friends are welcome to attend his funeral Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Isidore Parish, SACRED HEART CHURCH, 340 Centre Street, Middleborough, on Monday, November 6, 2023, at 10:30 AM.

Interment services will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Wood Street, Middleborough.
