Charles Gordon Ryan of Middleborough, formerly of Brockton, went to be with the Lord on Friday evening, March 18, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family.
Born in Boston, son of the late Gordon and Julia (Le Shana) Ryan, he was raised in the greater Boston area. Charles had been employed as a laborer at the Walter Baker Chocolate Factory, Antonelli Iron Works, and retired from Boston Steel Fabricators in Holbrook where he was employed for over 20 years. He had been a faithful member of the Abundant Life Community Church in South Carver and enjoyed time with his family.
He is predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Dolores (Bachelder) Ryan. He is survived by one son Douglas W. Ryan and his wife Kathleen, one daughter Diane L. Dandreta and her husband Scott Lawrence, three grandchildren Alex and his partner Janie Humphries, and Hunter of Middleborough, Rachael Miner (Lawrence) and her husband, Alex of Whitman. He is survived by several nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
He was predeceased by his siblings and their spouses; Mabel and Bob Partridge, Ed and Louise Ryan, Ruth and Charles Shanks, and Howard and Wanda (living) Ryan.
Family and friends are invited to the visiting hours at the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak Street, Middleborough, on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, from 9:00 AM till 12:00 NOON, with a funeral service starting at 12:00 NOON.
Interment will follow at the Pine Hill Cemetery, 483 North Main Street, West Bridgewater.
