OBITUARY: (GREAT BARRINGTON) Charles M. Perry Jr., aged 68, of Fairfield, NY formerly of Middleborough, MA and Poland, NY, passed away in his sleep on Friday, February 12, 2016, at Timberlyn Heights Nursing Home in Great Barrington after a long battle with dementia. He was the son of the late Charles M. Perry Sr. and Helen Lapthorn of Brockton, MA. He served in the United States Army, during the Vietnam War. He was the proprietor for Perry Photography based in Middleboro and had worked at the Middleborough Gazette as a writer and a photographer, until relocating to Poland, NY to fulfil his dream of being a farmer and becoming the owner and operator of Majestic Acres a fully operational dairy farm while still serving the community as a local photographer. He later worked at the Herkimer Telegram, in Herkimer, NY as a writer and photographer. He was lover of all animals big and small as well as an avid tennis player, and musician in a number of small bands throughout his life. He is survived by his wife, Aileen (Swenson) Perry; four sons, Jeremy C. Perry, Matthew S.(Perry) Caswell, David M. Perry, Brian J. Perry; a step-daughter, Jillian L. Moulton Perry; 5 sisters, Lydia Perry, Sherrie Medeiros, Pamela Higuera, Leslie Morrison, Vickie Frazier; 4 brothers, Mike Perry, Greg Perry, Peter Perry, Jake Morrison; several, nieces and nephews: and grandchildren Chloe M. and Sabrina B. Perry. Visiting hours will be held in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Middleboro, on Saturday, February 20th from 3-7 pm, with a prayer service to be held at 6:30 pm in the funeral home.
