Carol J. (Kern) Wheeler

Carol Jean (Kern) Wheeler, age 88, of Delray Beach, Florida, formerly of Middleborough, died under hospice care on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

Born on June 1, 1936 in Westfield, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late George Malon & Jean (Wardrop) Kern.  Carol spent summers in Middleborough with her Aunt Geegee.  In 1950, she moved to Middleborough and graduated from Middleborough High School in 1954.  Carol married Donald in 1957.  Carol spent most of her life working on their family cranberry bogs, where they dry-picked and processed their own fruits.  After Donald died in 2008, Carol spent much of her time in Delray Beach, Florida.  Some of her fondest memories were dry-picking cranberries on the farm.

Carol was the beloved wife of the late Donald C. Wheeler; loving mother of Donald S. Wheeler & his wife Barbara of Newark, Vermont; cherished grandmother of Curtis Wheeler of Newark, Vermont; and dear sister of the late George Kern & his surviving wife Victoria Kern of Schnecksville, Pennsylvania.  Other remaining relatives include Malon Kern and Brian Kern.

There will be NO visiting hours.

Funeral and Interment Services are private.
