Bradbury "BRAD" H. Fletcher

Bradbury "Brad" Harrison Fletcher, age 82, of Middleborough, formerly of Weymouth and Searsport, Maine, died on Friday, October 6, 2023, at the South Shore Hospital in South Weymouth.

Born in Freeport, Maine, he was the son of the late Helen (Toothaker) & Maurice Fletcher.  Brad grew up in Searsport, Maine and later moved to Weymouth, graduating from Weymouth High School, Class of 1959.  He soon began working at A.E. Borden Company, (a refrigeration and air-conditioning company), located in Boston, now known as United Refrigeration.  Brad made this a life-long career and retired in 2020.

Brad loved to garden; he grew many different flowers and vegetables each year creating beautiful gardens.  He enjoyed working on cars and watching sunsets.  Brad had a unique trait; he was a "Mr. Fix It", able to fix almost anything.  If something was broken or in need of repair, he was there to fix it!  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially the summers in Maine.  Brad joined his grandchildren boogie boarding, into his early 80's!  Brad was a mentor to some, and a good, kind and loving family man; he will be missed.

Brad was the beloved husband for 54 years to Carol (Noonan) Fletcher; loving father of Kristin Cohen & her husband Andrew of Easton and Bradbury James Fletcher & his wife Dawn of Quincy, Illinois; cherished grandfather of Alexis, Benjamin, Sophia, Jared and Ian; dear brother of Jonathan Fletcher & his wife Barbara of Greenland, New Hampshire, Kevin Fletcher & his wife Susan of Minnesota and the late Stephen Fletcher & his late wife Irene.  Brad is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcome to the visiting hours at the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak Street, Middleborough, on Friday, October 13, 2023, from 4:00-7:30 PM, followed with a prayer service starting at 7:30 PM.

Interment services will be private.
