Betty M. Woodward

Betty M. Woodward, a lifelong resident of Middleborough, died on Monday, January 31, 2022, at the Oakhill Healthcare Nursing Home.  She was 89 years of age.

Born in Middleborough, daughter of the late Leslie and Katarina (Goetz) Woodward, she was a longtime employee as a bookkeeper for the Middleborough Fire Department.

Betty attended Middleborough schools and graduated from Memorial High School, Class of 1949.  She later graduated from Drexel University and the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.

Betty is survived by her caregiver, Jane E. Martin.

All are welcome to the visitation period at the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak Street, Middleborough, on Friday, February 4, 2022, from 9:00-9:30 AM, followed by a service starting at 9:30 AM.

Interment services will be private.
