Arthur "SMOKEY" C. Pearce, age 73, of West Wareham, died on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at the Tobey Hospital in Wareham.
Born in Brockton, he was the son of the late Whitney & Ethel (Banks) Pearce. Arthur was a kind and giving man, always available to help anyone in need. He enjoyed "hanging" with family and friends, taking pictures and loved doing karaoke. For many years, Arthur owned and operated the "FAMOUS" Smokey's Hot Dog Stand in Raynham. In early mornings, he could be found sitting along the canal taking in the sights and enjoying his morning cup of coffee. A simple man, content with the simple joys of life.
Arthur was the beloved husband of the late Kathy (Rose) Pearce; loving brother of Ruthie Weir of East Bridgewater, Debby Melville of Longs, South Carolina and the late Lorraine Pearce and Kathy Pearce; and best friend of Ronny Frazier of Longs, South Carolina. He is also survived by many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
There will be NO visiting hours.
All are welcome to the Graveside Services at the Nemasket Hill Cemetery, 515 Plymouth Street, Middleborough, on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 11:00 AM
