OBITUARY: (MIDDLEBORO) Anthony Perry, aged 85 years, of Middleboro, died on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at the Golden Living Center at Oak Hill, Middleboro. He was the husband of Grace E. (Cosgrove) Perry. Born in Mattapan; he was son of the late Manuel and Phoebe (Chaves) Perry. He served in the United States Army, in the Military Police, during the occupational forces of WWII. He was a retired truck driver for Nemasket Transportation, later called Nichols Trucking, for a total of 40 years. After retirement he ran a pallet business. Anthony attended Sacred Heart Church, Middleboro. He was a member of the Teamster's Union #653, and the Vet's of Easton. He enjoyed gardening, and raising and racing greyhounds. Survivors include his wife, Grace; three sons, Stephen A. Perry of Freetown, Michael F. Perry and his wife Sherryl of Assonet, Thomas A. Perry of Middleboro; two daughters, Kathleen MacDonald of Fairhaven, and Linda A. and her husband Jeffrey Seaman of Middleboro; a sister, Mary Straccia of Brockton; brother-in-law, Robert Cosgrove of Brockton; sister-in-law, Mary Perry of Easton; 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Middleboro, on Friday, September 27th from 4-8 pm. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, September 28th at 10 am. Burial will take place in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
