Allan "Al" L. Roberts, Jr., age 59, of Middleborough, died surrounded with love, on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at his home.
Born in Middleborough, he was the son of the late Allan & Eileen (Fleming) Roberts. Al grew up in Middleborough, attended public schools, and as a teenager he worked on Picone Farm in Middleborough as a farmhand. He graduated from Middleborough High School, Class of 1981. He worked for Ocean Spray Cranberries for a few years. Al enrolled in the New England Tech School in Rhode Island, with the primary focus of robotic technology; he loved anything and everything with robotics! For years, he used his robotics knowledge working for the Gillette Company in Boston and for the Stop & Shop Warehouse in Freetown. Later on, Al worked at the High Point Hospital in Middleborough as a mental health worker. He loved the outdoors, was a devoted walker tracking his daily walks of five miles, and he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was an avid "nerd" and was most content watching his "nerdy shows".
Al was the beloved husband of Kathie (Amiro) Roberts; loving father of Marissa Roberts of New Bedford, Allan L. Roberts, III, Kyle Roberts of Middleborough, Benjamin Roberts, John Amiro of Attleboro and Angela Amiro-Shirley of Attleboro; dear grandfather of Lily, Allan IV, Vyctoria, Quinn and Xander.
