Mr. Alexandre Tzvetinovitch, of West Bridgewater, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Thursday, August 4, 2022, after having just celebrated his 100th birthday.
He was born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia to Basile Tzvetinovitch & Emilie (Burda) Tzvetinovitch on July 17, 1922. He had one sister, Vera (Tzvetinovitch) Milcendeau. He immigrated to Morocco with his family as a child, where he attended French schools. He spoke several languages including Serbian, Russian, French and English. He had a brilliant mind, and worked for many years as an accountant in Morocco, but was also a talented artist. He won many awards for his paintings. He painted in oils, and was commissioned to paint portraits in Morocco and the USA. He was also a talented sculptor.
Alexandre met his wife Jeanne (Milcendeau) in Casablanca, Morocco. They married and had four daughters; Irene, Carole, Corinne, and Sophie. In 1965, he brought his family to West Bridgewater to join his extended family. He lived in West Bridgewater for 56 years. He worked for Sweetheart Plastics in Somerville until he retired at the age of 80 in 2002. He started as a machinist, as he was very mechanically inclined, but his talents for problem solving led to his work in designing and developing prototype machines to improve productivity. He was well loved at his work, but when the company moved to New Hampshire, he retired. They asked him to come to visit the new site, and welcomed him there with a retirement party.
He was also an avid gardener, and especially loved his strawberry gardens. He was far ahead of the times studying health and longevity practices, and believed in living a holistic lifestyle.
Alexandre is survived by his four daughters and their families; Irene Murray & her husband Paul, granddaughter Amie Connors & her husband Dennis, her son Xander and daughter Kaitlyn & her wife Danielle; Carole Beals & her husband Marc, their son Philip Beals & his wife Karla and their son Daniel Beals & his wife Courtney; Corinne Lupi & her husband John, their son Nicholaus Lupi & his wife Adriana and their daughters Stella and Bianca, their son Christopher Lupi & his wife Alex and their daughter Natalie, their son Anthony Lupi; and Sophie Berg & her husband Christian, their daughter Samantha King & her husband Derek and their daughter Eliza, their daughter Sarah Rivers & her husband Kyle. Alexandre was predeceased by his wife of 69 years, Jeanne Helene (Milcendeau) Tzvetinovitch; granddaughter, Jessica Kroese; as well as his sister, Vera Milcendeau.
A private burial service will be held at the Melrose Cemetery in Brockton.
