Albert James Merner

Albert James Merner, age 83, of Middleborough, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022, from a brief illness.

Born in Boston on February 9, 1939, he was the son of the late John and Josephine (Lacour) Merner.  Albert was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.  He enjoyed drawing and most recently his lunches at Coffee Milano in downtown Middleborough.

Albert is survived by his siblings and their spouses; John and Fran Merner, Red Whiffen, Raymond and Josephine Timmons.  He was predeceased by the late Kay and Mike Kavanaugh, the late Marguerite and Joe Walsh, the late Sonny and Mary Merner, the late Betty and Harvey Littlejohn.

Family and friends are invited to the visiting hours at the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak Street, Middleborough, on Thursday, July 28, 2022, from 4:00-7:00 PM, followed by a prayer service starting at 7:00 PM.

Interment services will be private.
