OBITUARY: (MIDDLEBORO) Albert E. Bertini, aged 83, of Middleboro, died on Friday, July 8, 2016, of congestive heart failure, after a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of Marilyn J. (Gaines) Bertini; they had been married for 62 years. Born in Somerville, son of the late Albert E. and Lillian (Roy) Bertini. He was a 1951 graduate of Lexington High School. He was a tool & dye maker and safety instructor for T.R.W., of Cambridge, retiring after 36 years. Prior resident of East Sandwich, MA for 32 years before moving to Oak Point in Middleboro 9 years ago. His greatest joy was gardening, both vegetables and flowers, and playing cribbage. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; two sisters, Anita and her husband Edward Gass, of Billerica, and Rosemarie Borne, of Mississippi; sister-in-law, Beverly and her husband Walter Jones, of Watertown; a very dear niece, Cheryl King of Acton; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, July 12th from 4-7 pm in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Middleboro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 13th at 10 am in Sacred Heart Church, 340 Centre St. Middleboro. Burial will take place in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham, at approximately 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: The American Heart Association, 20 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
